Astros' Oswalt makes early exit with hamstring injury

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Astros ace Roy Oswalt will return to Houston for evaluation after injuring his left hamstring in Friday's exhibition against Pittsburgh.

Oswalt was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and said he also felt a pinch in his left gluteal muscle while throwing Sunday.

The combination of injuries prompted the Astros to send Oswalt to Houston for an evaluation.

"There was no pain; the hamstring got a little tight," said Oswalt, who went four innings before coming out. "I'm not worried about it."
