joe evans deserves to be in the hall of fame. a very good coach and a better person.  i am proud that he coached me in jr. high.  best of luck to him and son andy.

I also played for Coach Joe, both in Jr. High, and later in High School. He is the reason I am coaching today.

I can hear him today saying: "Get with the program!"

Congratulations to Joe and Andy.  Joe deserves this honor.  They make quite a team.
Also, Joe is a master story teller, I think he knows every coach over the age of 45 in the state of Texas and quite a few under that age as well.
