BudTugley Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Sophomore Preston Warner battled for 129 pitches over 6 1/3 innings. Going into the top of the 7th, WB led 6 - 5. At that point, all 5 Mustang runs were unearned. West Brook had, uncharacteristiacally, made 4 errors. Plus there were a few plays that could have saved the game that were just not made. In the top of the 8th, reliever Reggie Wilson gave up a bomb to the leadoff hitter, then retired the next three batters. The Bruins did not answer in the bottom of the 8th.Wilson tripled and Warner doubled (nearly 400 ft shot to dead center) to drive in all the runs for the Bruins.West Book is 2-3 in district, trailing leaders Channelview and North Shore at 4 - 1. WB has a home and home with Channelview this week.
