KFDM COOP Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 How do the Indians look this season?
PNGBaseball Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Returning starters: Harrington (3rd Base, Pitcher), Hearn (Shortstop), Carnahan (Catcher), Flores (Centerfield, Pitcher), Payton Faseler (RF/DH) Returning players: Kyle Abbott (Pitcher), Jeremy Dominguez (OF), Corey Buteaux (INF), Drew Barnett (INF/OF)
cleanup13 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Several players from PNG have been very busy this summer and fall - Harrington, Flores, and Carnahan have played all year with very good success. Flores, Carnahan, and sophomore Austin Sangster just returned from the Texas-Louisiana College Coaches Showcase at San Jac this past weekend and have quite a bit of interest following this team now. Harrington played in a tournament at Lamar and will have the Lamar coaches following his progress very closely. PNG will have a good run in their district this year due to the hard work in off-season baseball.

Austin Sangster may start at catcher this season, with carnahan moving to another position. Especially with Carnahan supposed to be pitching some this year. Also, soph. Sammy Sparrow is a player to watch if an upper classman struggles. He played JV most of last season. He is a solid pitcher, but a GREAT outfielder and hitter. Jerin Spikes is another soph. to watch. He is probably PNG's best soph. pitcher, great 3B too. All 3 of these sophs are VERY talented and play heads up baseball.
