Kris_Gilmore
No offense, but what are you considering to be elite? Is 51.30 or 50.99 elite? The 50.99 by Shawn Lewis is ranked 122 in the State 1A - 5A according to txrunning.com, and I promise you that doesn't include all meets and times. So that is probably ranked more like 150. Clearly some of these times are not "elite" statewide, but local performances might be interesting to some, giving them an indicator of what they need to place in district or what they will see at the region meet. I'm just now getting into the results, as folks post, I may drop off the lower performances. And yes, I know the SETX area is not defined well...just doin the best I can based on districts around the area. BTW, a 51 may be elite at the 1A and 2A level (for the area)...want to give those boys and girls some "press" even if its not competitive at the higher classes. I think this is about SETX ranknings and those times do rank in SETX even though they arent ELITE 48's are 47's

ncplaya
And you want to get technical about what's elite. You threw up a 1:58 for your boy and while it is good it is not elite.
Kris_Gilmore
Actually 1:58.30 is 3rd in 3A in the State and top 40 in the State of Texas 1A - 5A more elite than you think. I was just looking at all the times/marks the 50.9 and 51.3 where the only one's that didn't seem to fit. It does look like Shawn Lewis is the favorite to win the 400 at the district meet. I wasn't trying to get everyone all upset. Ozen's fastest@1906 I have always agreed with you that A'lexus Brannon is in a league of her own, so don't get upset just needed some clarification on what should be mentioned.I understand kids need press. there is a girl at Huffman who is #2 in 3A in the 1600 and has run 5:26 but you didn't see me put her time up because it wasn't elite even though it is probably leading the SETX area by 20 seconds minus K-Park. I promise you I know a little about distance running and where times rank Mr. Playa ;).Top Area 400 Times:Brett Parker 47.73 Kingwood ParkN Rollo 49.23 Kingwood ParkAlex Jones 49.47 ShepherdArtigus Johnson 49.62 North ShoreStephon Leaks 49.78 Baytown SterlingRaghib Ellisor 49.79 ShepherdMicheal Johnson 50.55 Port Arthur MemorialS Poole 50.74 LumbertonCameron Buckner 50.92 North ShoreShelbee Pier Huffman-Hargrave 36 ft 5 in Triple Jump
cougar18
For the district 19-4A meet it should be a show down between Kyle Brown and James Leonard from BH / Crosby for the 800m title. Both of them are already running 2 flat and below. Should be quite exciting in the weeks to come to see how fast they get before district. :)

Sean Evans (my son) got down to a 2:02, but then got hit with bad chest cold. Hoping to get back healthy this week and push for 2 flat by district and the third spot. ncplaya
I know you do Kris. Ive done some reading. I was just giving you some flack. I guess it needs to be re-worded though. Be thinking of good in SETX and good for this year. Not the past. So maybe elite is not the right wording. HillGuy hit it on the head

TheBigSwitch
Aggie, you just can't ever seem to get your facts right unless you are talking about silsbee. Hayden Reed's best toss was 59'6" at silsbee. You were there and still can't get it right. And before you come back and say that I am wrong, I was standing at the shot put ring watching my shot putters throw when he threw it.Please double check yourself before you post
