Butler up 44-39, 11:39 left.  Sheldon Mack is out with muscle spasms for Butler, which could really hurt them.

47-43, Butler leads, 4 minutes left.  Could we see our first mid-major in the national championship?

Butler hasn't made a field goal in almost 9 minutes, but they're making their freethrows.  they're up 4, their ball, 3:46 left going into the final media timeout.

50-49, Butler leads, MSU ball, 23 seconds left!  what a game!  Butler just got pretty unlucky with a shot that rattled out that would've put them up 3.  they need a stop here bad!

The Butler game was the best game of the night! The Duke game was good for a little while.

I'd love for Butler to win...

A) if i don't have a dog in the fight, i always pick the underdog
B) i really dislike Duke.

What's not to like about Duke....except that they have been a very successful program? Success breeds contempt. As great as Duke always seems to be, they should have a couple more titles, IMO, but those are very difficult to get. Butler beating Syracuse, K State, and Michigan State, shows to me that they are not intimidated by Duke at all. Duke beating Baylor (who I thought might just beat Duke) and W. Virginia, shows the caliber of game we are in for with these two teams. I like Duke in this one, but if Butler pulls it off I won't be too upset. They are a fun team to watch and their coach is a class act (so is Hayward) who doesn't get very excited. He's cool and calm. Coach K is a class act too.

This will be a very good game.

They say the mid majors take all the fun out of it and make people not want to watch. I couldn't disagree more though. I love Butler and the "underdog story". Even though Butler has one close to 30 games each of the past 4 seasons...

Alot of coaches wouldnt go to this extereme for a player. Alot of players get lucky if the coach even comes over and checks on him.
Just shows what kind of guy he is.

Huggins just knew without him he had no shot at keeping it within 20 against Duke.

This player was injured at the 9:00 minute mark. He had scored only 4 points by then and Duke was ahead by 15.

I think it is great that coaches show emotion for their players and have a certain type of closeness, but my wife and I both thought he was going to kiss him.
