bullets13 Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 The rangers were hitless until the 7th, picked up 3 in the 7th to tie, went down 4-3, and then scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to open the year with a win!!!
Ty Cobb Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Great job RANGERS!!! That's the way to open the season.
bullets13 Posted April 10, 2010 Author Report Posted April 10, 2010 Frank "I suck this year" Francisco blew his second save opportunity in a row, as the Rangers lost 4-3 today after leading 3-1 going into the 9th. The rangers are 2-3, but should be 4-1. They've missed a really good opportunity to have a wonderful start to the season.
bullets13 Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 now 5-3, should be 7-1 if not for two blown saves by francisco. they've got a tough schedule coming up. they finish with cleveland tmorrow, then have 3 @ the yankees, 3 @ the red sox, and then three @ home against the tigers. if they can go 4-5 over that span, i'll be happy. anything better than that is a bonus.
Ty Cobb Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010
now 5-3, should be 7-1 if not for two blown saves by francisco. they've got a tough schedule coming up. they finish with cleveland tmorrow, then have 3 @ the yankees, 3 @ the red sox, and then three @ home against the tigers. if they can go 4-5 over that span, i'll be happy. anything better than that is a bonus.
That's a horrible 9 game stretch to go through. The yankees and red sox are contenders every year and the RANGERS couldn't beat the tigers last year to save their lives. Anywhere around .500 would be awesome for this part of the schedule.
bullets13 Posted May 1, 2010 Author Report Posted May 1, 2010 The Rangers picked up a big win tonight in Seattle in 12. They got 9 innings of 3-hit, 0-run, 10-k ball from starter Colby Lewis, and then their relievers got out of 1-out, bases loaded jams in the 10th and 11th. The Rangers scored two in the 12, and then closer Neftali Feliz, who has been struggling, pitched a 1-2-3 12th for the save. Great win, and the Rangers picked up a game on everyone in the division tonight!
bullets13 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 The Rangers rallied today for a run in the 9th, and 2 more in the 11th to win 3-1 over Seattle, completing a 3-game sweep. They've won 8 of their last 11 and are now alone in 1st place in their division.
bullets13 Posted June 15, 2010 Author Report Posted June 15, 2010 the rangers have won their last 4 series, and start one with a pretty mediocre Florida team tonight. they're currently 35-28.
Boomhower Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Guerro has been solid for them. But as always its gonna come down to pitching in the second half.
bullets13 Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 The rangers have now won 5 straight series, and 5 straight games after sweeping the Marlins. They're facing the stros this weekend, which has been a good thing for most of their opponents this year. For once i don't feel bad rooting against the astros, as they're done for the year anyway.
bullets13 Posted June 20, 2010 Author Report Posted June 20, 2010 the rangers just won their seventh straight game, all on the road, and clinched their 6th straight series. they've got one more at houston, and then take on the pirates, then get the astros in arlington so the streak might continue for a bit longer.
bullets13 Posted June 23, 2010 Author Report Posted June 23, 2010 Rangers just won their 9th straight! Even better, the Pirates are in town for two more days, followed by the Stros!
bullets13 Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 they made it 10 straight tonight, and won their 7th series in a row. they're 18-4 in June. What a month!
bullets13 Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 The Rangers went down 4-0 in the 1st, but came back to tie it 5-5, and won on a 2-strike, 2-out single in the bottom of the 9th!The Rangers have won 11 in a row, 7 series in a row, and swept 3 series in a row!
bullets13 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 the rangers picked up a big win against the angels tonight! the win puts them 4 1/2 up in the division. what an incredible June! The rangers have won 8 straight series, and 14 of 16 games. They're 21-6 in June, and 17 games over .500. Right now they're tied with the Yankees for the best record in baseball!
bullets13 Posted July 10, 2010 Author Report Posted July 10, 2010 the rangers gave up their second 4-run lead in two days tonight, this one on a 2-strike, 2-out grand slam. they've now given up a homer in the top of the 10th, and are down to the league-worst orioles. they blew a chance to extend their lead to 6 1/2 games yesterday, and are in danger of seeing it shrink to 4 1/2 tonight. what a waste. hopefully they'll do something in the bottom of the 10th here.
