Guest Nederland Bulldogs Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Which Team in SouthEast Texas do you believe has the best run defense?
GoDogs27 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Nederland... .. im sorry that was bad... im terrible i know...im not sure who does? maybe WO-S?? I havent seen them, but Hooks usually has a pretty good D... the old school Chain Gang D... other than that, I have heard PN-G has a pretty good defense.. I would also put Dayton up there? Not too sure on this one
Lucky Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I have not looked at stats but MY GOSH ! Central lights you up for 64 points and your gonna post your team (Nederland) as the best run D ? I DON'T THINK SO !
Lucky Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Sorry Godog but I just now finished ready all of your post. But you shouldn't joke like that.
GoDogs27 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 yea i know that was wrong, im trying to lighten up the mood around here, a lot of people seem tense lately... but I agree WO-S
BHFAN Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 BH is definetly one of the best in the area. The defense has not allowed a score in the first half. One TD in the Third Quarter this year with about 1:30 to go. The rest of the scores have come during trash time in the 4th. All together BH has allowed 40 points so far.
raidernation Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I've been tracking this. I'll post the rushing defense stats in a bit!
woshigh Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Here are the WO-S defense rushing stats. Dayton - 178 LC-M - 108 Bay City - 102 Hamshire-Fannett - 62 Kirbyville - 111 That is an average of 112.2 rushing yards per game. They are only giving up 66.6 yards passing per game. Compare that to last year's first five games: Jasper - 227 Nederland - 74 Bay City - 208 Central - 248 Anahuac - 119 Average of 175.2. I would say the rush defense is a little better this year.
raidernation Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Here you go! I can't find the stats for every 3A and 2A game but i have all the 4A and 5A data with the exception of LCM vs Kashmere and Vidor vs Jones. Team---------yards allowed RUSHING per game 1. Pimp Smack Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Dayton or WOS. Dayton has held every running back to under 100 yards except for Cody Hussey of Lumberton, and WOS shut down Dugat so ill take both.
BH89 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Radiernation, How about passing stats and points allowed.
Guest maverick24 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 The thing I find so funny is how Lumberton's D has been talked about so much and you have Vidor and Nederland both below them and they still have to play Dayton's run offense!!!
piratefan Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 The thing I find so funny is how Lumberton's D has been talked about so much and you have Vidor and Nederland both below them and they still have to play Dayton's run offense!!!there have been two district games played..all that pre season stuff really dont matter..
Guest Kelly Football Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 WOS. They stopped Dayton's running, especially in the 2nd half.
raidernation Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 BH89 How about passing stats and points allowed. I put the passing defense stats on a different thread.
raidernation Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Here you go! Here are the pass defensive stats to go along with the rushing ones. Keep in mind that i do not have stats for every game. Just the ones i could find in the chronicle and enterprise!!!! TEAM--------------Yards allowed via pass per game 1. OF-----------------51.3 2. Newton------------60 3. Silsbee------------62.3 4. WOS---------------66.6 5. Anahuac-----------68 6. Lumberton--------69.6 7. HJ------------------82.2 8. Jasper-------------85.6 9. Gasilla Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 According to the Enterprise, using data from all of their games. Central is giving up 101 yards per game on the ground and Dayton is at 135.5.
raidernation Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I had a mistake in Centrals first games stats. I didn't realize they had given up -15 yards. I thought is was suppose to be 55 :? On the dayton stats i come up with 108 avg wos 178 nac 89 fri 112 Lumb 148 ozen 14 That is a 108 avg.
Guest Wildcat 08 Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 WO-S, Hopfully Kirbyville this year
k-villeballa Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 WO-S, Hopfully Kirbyville this yearKirbyville should have a much better defense but the defensive line is questionable. Hopefully Chris Samuel get to play. He is the real deal on that line Wildcat 08!!!
