TradinUp BH Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Crazy, since I grew up in Beaumont and a proud graduate of the Brook, I can't believe that the new stadium is going to be named after Thomas. I think Alex Durley, who brought the pear orchard area and the west end together would be a great name. This mess is getting out of hand, and your going have people people in Beaumont acting like it's 1950's again. It's a shame that they couldn't come up with other Beaumont bred people to name the stadium after or just use a plain name like BISD Stadium. Oh well, I don't live there so my opinion isn't worth much. Nice stadium though.

xavierbreath Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Beaumont was born because of Spindletop. Why not name it Spindletop Stadium and then name the field house after the Dr. Thomas?
