Now, for an update on some of them: Josh Stinson (PNG) has started 2 of Texas A&M's 4 games, hitting .250 and throwing out 2-3 attempted steals. Justin Huff (WB) has started all 7 of Centenary's games, hitting .400 including 2 hits vs. nat'l power LSU. He also leads team with 7 steals. Dustin Hood (Ned) started in Wake Forest's season-opening DH and , in his D-1 debut, went 7-8. Wrandall Taylor (Ozen -- Prairie View A&M) has been named SWAC Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year following his outstanding freshmen season where he was named to Louisville Slugger Freshmen All American team. In the JUCO ranks: Brandon Castolenia (WB) made his 1st start for Angelina, pitching 5 innings and getting a no-decision in an eventual 2-1 Roadrunner loss. Kevin Cooper (Ozen) has saved both of Angelina's wins this year.

40under Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Also, Casey Beck from Woodville and Jordan Thibodeaus from WO-S are at SanJac. Brandon Hall from WO-S is at Galveston. Brad Becker from WO-S is at North Central Texas College. Brad was 2-5 with three walks and a HR yesterday.

MIF04 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Michael Ewing's debut at So Miss was noteworthy -- 2 run single for Golden Eagles in 6-5 win over #25 Witchita State. Next day, a 2-4 performance. Michael is currently their LF. Congrats to him.

MIF04 Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Both Ewings continue their success: Michael Ewing is full time starter in LF for So Miss Golden Eagles (C-USA). He leads in hitting (.353) and RBI (6) with 1 HR. They are 4-2 on the season. James Ewing has become an INF starter over past 4 games for undefeated and nationally ranked Arkansas Razorbacks. He is hitting .500 (8-16) with 5 RBI. Again, keep it up, guys !!!!
