Question for the Coaches

are there any softball (FASTPITCH) ORGANIZATIONS were when the ball being pitched
hits the ground bounces up and hits batter , that the batter doesn't take thier base
???

If the umpire feels the batter did not make an attempt to get out of the way you don't get the base.  They usally say while in a calm discussion with them..... "In my judgement"  ::)!

Cheater is correct.  If the ball is a slow pitched ball and she gets hit, then "in my judgement" she could have attempted to move.  Under normal
fastpitch pitches, if ball bounces, then I am giving them the base....They don't know which way the ball is going when it hits the ground.

by the rules, you don't have to move....its a dead ball....batter advances to 1st, if she is in the box

By what rules?
