Fastball around 78-79.
You're way off bud. Laird can and does throw mid to upper 80s. He has several schools looking at him, and I do believe he has a few offers. He's focusing on the season and worrying about college ball later, as he should be.

baddog
Although velocity is a great thing to have and impresses the guys with the radar guns, control, changing speeds, movement on your fastball, hitting your spots, and ERA impress me more. It's what makes a pitcher effective. Both Nederland starters are blessed with all of these abilities.

Is this true or is the tie breaker still head to head?IMO Bellow is 20-4A MVP and Laird is 1st Team Pitcher this year. Laird has stood out and has proven he can pitch against any team. I don't understand why he hasn't been signed yet. No need to change the rotation. If Nederland's bats stay hot, Bellow will only need to pitch 2-3 innings(no more than a routine bullpen) against Livingston before the coach could comfortably go to the very deep bullpen(Pitts, Smith, Brown, Raines, Brady, and Cardenas). Bellow would then be available for relief if needed monday. Great position to be in!
You heard correct. If two teams have same record, they are tied. NHS83LU87
Reread my post I didn't say tie PNG. If Vidor doesn't win monday and then loses to Livingston friday, it will be LCM that Vidor is tied with not PNG and LCM would hold that tie breaker. Big Stick
If Vidor loses 1 one their next 2 games and LCM beats liv. and Ozen. Vidor and LCM will be tied. Vidor is only one game ahead of LCM and we beat them both times this year.
