Frankston, Malakoff Meet For 21-2A Seeding Friday ATHENS - Frankston and Malakoff will play for the top seed in District 21-2A boys basketball Friday at Trinity Valley Community College's Cardinal Gym. Tipoff is 7 p.m. The two teams will share the District 21-2A championship. The Indians and Tigers were both 11-1 in district. The winner gets a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Arp, Hawkins Meet At UT Tyler The District 19-2A championship will be decided at 6 p.m. Friday at UT Tyler's Herrington Patriot Center. No. 11 Arp (25-3, 13-1) meets No. 17 Hawkins (24-5, 13-1) with the winner receiving a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The winner will face either Quitman or Waskom Feb. 24 in the area round of the playoffs. The loser will meet West Sabine on Tuesday in bi-district. Arp and Hawkins split their meetings during the regular season. Hawkins took the first meeting, 61-52, while the Tigers answered with a 76-71 win in the rematch.
