Guest baseball25 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 He figures he’ll make around $40 million for Saturday’s bout that will be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View and is almost a cinch to sell in excess of one million units. Richard Schaefer, the fight’s promoter and the chief executive officer of Golden Boy Promotions, predicted an astronomically high four million sales. That would surpass the current record of 2.45 million, set in 2007 by Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya by nearly 40 percent.
JoshD Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 I think he's stretching and exaggerating it like any promoter in this business does. It wont do 4 millionbut it could definitely break some records 8)just imagine what mayweather-pac would do
Guest baseball25 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Yeah I know, I mean oscar and mayweather broke the record with 2.5 million, if mosley and mayweather do more that will be crazy, but schafer has been predicting good buy rates latley, he was money on the mayweather vs marquez fight and everyone said no way it would do over a million buys and it did so who knows, and PEOPLE THINK BOXING IS DEAD LOL
