Gabe Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Mustangs set three records at Region III Track & Field ChampionshipsFrom staff reports The Orange LeaderHUMBLE — So far it has been a great day for the West Orange-Stark Mustangs track meet.As of 2:50 p.m., the boys team had set three meet records at the Class 3A Region III Track & Field Championships in Humble.The 4x100 relay team of Justin Thomas, Trey Franks, Phillip Jones and James Haynes set a new meet record with a time of 41.08.Franks later set a meet record in the 100 with a time of 10.45. Phillip Jones blazed to a first place finish in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.30.The 4x200 relay team of Mark Roberts, Thomas, Jones and Franks then set a new meet record with a time of 1.26:12.

cardinalcc Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Congrats to WOS. They had some really good performances. I really think they should change how the relays are scored. They should not be counted as double. It allows teams to just stack two races and win the entire meet.
