Can't find much info on her since it hasn't been officially "released"...

Looks like she made the 5A All-State Basketball team and according to one website she's the 12th best player in Texas and the 53th best in the country for 2010.  Not sure if that means anything but here's the link:

I saw that too, but if you look at the last names on the list from Scout, it is in alphabetical order.

ESPN doesn't have her highly rated so I think you're right, those scout #s don't mean anything.

However, I don't question how good she is, because:

#1- Tidwell recruited her. Tidwell only recruits GOOD players.

#2- She was MVP of a tough district. They have one girl going to A&M out of that district.

From mays.tamu.edu (I guess her mom works at Texas A&M)

Senior point guard Gia Ayers, who helped lead the Byan Lady Vikings to the
Class 5A Region II championship game, has been named first-team all-state by
the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches
Association. Clarissa is extremely proud of Gia, who has been named the Most
Valuable Player from District 12-5A. Gia has averaged 14 points, 4.0 assists,
4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. Clarissa is also very happy to announce
that Gia has verbally accepted a basketball scholarship from Lamar University.
Congratulations, Gia (and Clarissa)!
