3ABirdMan
I STILL think BC has a shot at the play-offs. I know these kids, and they haven't put it all together yet. When the get past the youth and varsity inexperience, compounded by injury and the "revolving door" line-up we've had, they'll make a showing (I hope). inside card
I like to see everyone underestimating the Cardinals. I understand why the perception of the team is what it is. No sense in trying to convince anyone otherwise. If we can't do it on the field, we don't deserve to get anyone's respect. I think there will be some people who are surprised this Friday. Cards will take this one in a close battle. Then maybe we can get a little respect.
EDBLU
1. WOS 2 Sisbee? 3 Kirbyville/BC? WOS without a doubt. WOS will make 21-3A proud in the playoffs. Silsbee can not play like they played against HF and make the playoffs. They proved to the teams left on their schedules that they can be beaten. I wasn't impressed by their team. They did win the game but a undermanned and undertalented HF team was in it to the very end. If they do make it they will lose in the first round if they continue to play like that. I can only go by the records of Kirbyville and BC for two and three. We haven't played them yet. The rest of the teams are too inconsistent for anyone to make a good judgement call other than with their heart. The final two positions probably won't be decided until the last two weeks of the reg. season. There will be a few teams trying to be spoilers those last couple of Fridays. numbertwo
If you ask me, I don't think this district has lived up to the hype it got before the season started.
3ABirdMan
If you ask me' date=' I don't think this district has lived up to the hype it got before the season started.[/quote'] Agreed. WO-S has held up its' end, and Silsbee to a degree. Kirbyville is about where everyone expected them to be - right in the middle of things. Orangefield started off hot, and may finish that way - only time will tell. HF and HJ really haven't competed. But BC has had an UGLY season to date, and in my opinion has not played up to potential YET! (though I think they will - no need to peak BEFORE the playoffs, :?: ) The big disappointment (no diss intended) has been Jasper. Jasper is young this season, and all the Dawg fans said they would be in for a "ruff" year before the season started, and they were right. If BC and Jasper were their usual selves, I think the District WOULD be close to where it was expected to be.
inside card
WOS has lived up to their reputation and tradition. Silsbee has been scrutinized hard for the game against HF, but everyone is entitled to an "off" game now and then (so far this has not applied to WOS). I think Silsbee will improve at the same rate everyone else will improve, and they will be competitive at WOS. I have seen alot about what Silsbee does wrong (fumbles, one demensional, etc.), but they are doing some things right as well. They appear to be a well-disciplined team that plays with a lot of class and heart. If anyone can accomplish the upset at this point, it would be them Tigers. Good Luck!! BC is getting it together, and (knock on wood) have injured players returning weekly. JD ankles are reportedly feeling pretty good for the Bayou Bowl, so I expect BC and Kville to be on a collision course for third. I expect to see the best game yet from BC Friday night. I like Birdman's thinking - no need to peak too soon!

Silsbee92
If we can play this bad at times and still beat these teams ???? If Silsbee wins?? Everybody says they got lucky. If Silsbee keeps it close?? Everyone says Wo-S has bad game. If Silsbee loses?? Everyone says I told you so. Doesn't matter. Silsbee going to the playoffs. Go tigers. kvilleballa
Birdman what do mean the Cards aint their usual selves. You act like Bridge City just unstoppable. Don't get me wrong you guys have had some talent come through. Man stop making excuses dude. I've read one of the fans from BC thread. It said something about "What makes this Kirbyville football team any better than the previous one". Well let me explain something to you and the rest. Everybody said that Jasper is very young this year. Well Kirbyville is very young as well. We have an sophmore and Junior Qb. Kirbyville might have a few Seniors on their team. I think Kirbyville doing better than everybody expected. The only excuse I'll make for Jasper is the coaching problem. Kirbyville is generating tradition. If you and the rest don't believe me, sit back and watch. As long as Jack and Barbay there the future look bright for the cats. The only thing wrong with this years team is depth. Other than that we are playing ball. Now, I said unstoppable earlier in my thread. Kirbyville will be that the next few years!!! Too much talent for BC sorry!!!!! 3ABirdMan
You find ONE post where I've made excuses for ANYTHING this year! I DARE YOU! I WILL post facts, and while some posters (you) may mistake those for excuses, they are not. AT LEAST I post facts, not opinion. And I don't hijack threads to post my non-English, asterick-laden jibberish. I think you're time here is limited, my friend.
