Looks like Chris Stroud is out of his early season slump:
Former Lamar standout Chris Stroud has seven career top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour, but none may have been as impressive as his finish at this year's Players Championship. Playing against what is arguably the toughest field in golf, Stroud fired a four day total of 9-under-par to tie for 10th place.

Included in his tournament was a nearly flawless Saturday round of 66 (-6) which vaulted Stroud into a sixth place tie heading into the final round. Despite some putting woes on Sunday, Stroud still walked away with $237,500, his largest payday as a professional.
• Was La Vega missing key player when wos played them?
    • Defense did not play wet play well last night. It was the hiking the ball over the punters head and Huntsville score a touchdown was the dagger at that point we were within five points, we could’ve stopped them on defense and gotten the ball back and scored a touchdown and had lead it’s different story than defense will make some adjustments just like they did against PNG and sent all those Indians home early😂
    • Can’t say enough about what Coach Breaux and his staff have done with this team. Started a little sluggish but that was expected. This team bought in to Breaux’s system and continue to get better each week. To win the DC in year 1 is impressive!  That’s something that has only been done one other time in the past 30 years in Orangefield. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish!
