bullets13
In what may already be a lost season in Houston, Astros fans can at least look forward to watching Roy Oswalt pitch every fifth day. Houstonians had better savor those starts since it is no guarantee Oswalt will finish the season in Texas. Oswalt, who has a full no-trade close, said in a Thursday interview on XM's MLB Network Radio that he would not automatically close the door on a possible deal. Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle wrote earlier this week that the Astros may have no choice but to deal Oswalt. With Carlos Lee and Lance Berkman off to dismal starts, Oswalt is valuable trade bait for GM Ed Wade. "That kind of decision appears to be weeks away, but if the losing continues, the Astros would be silly to hold on to their most valuable commodity at a time they have so many holes," Justice writes. mat
They really messed up the end of last year by not trading Tejada when they could have. They could have gotten something for him but instead finished out the year with him and got nothing.
bullets13
The good news is that Roy is pitching well this year. Last year he was kind of hit or miss, but he's driving his value up some this year, so maybe they'll get some good prospects for him if they do trade him.
