Gabe Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Who gets MVP of District 21-3A?Who gets MVP of District 20-4A?If you answer, answer both.
Guest JoesBros Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Statum and Bellow...At least thats who would get my vote
Guest GCMPats Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 What kind of season did Felts have? Jace Statum in 21-3A (pending the answer to the above question)Kirby Bellow in 20-4A
bobcat89 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Quinton Evans (Orangefield) 8hrs and solid defense on short.Kirby Bellow
PhatMack19 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 It's hard to pick one player off of Orangefield. If you take one of them away, the Bobcats are still loaded. Hicks is probably most valuable to his team.21-3a Hicks (Statum will probably win it)20-4a Bellow

Gabe Posted May 19, 2010 Author Report Posted May 19, 2010 Did the question get people talking baseball? Yes! All I wanted

RealDeal Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Should a MVP be given to the player who has the most impact on a teams success or simply the player with the best stats. Look at the teams and see how you think a team would perform over the season without a certain player on their roster. If you took Statum away would Orangefield still be as successful as a team. If you took Hicks away how would Bridge City be. I know that the MVP is the stats guy, but I want to know who everyone thinks the different MVP of each team should be. Should one of those guys be the district MVP even if he did not have the best stats overall. Just more to get chat going.
Gabe Posted May 21, 2010 Author Report Posted May 21, 2010 Other names to look at are Chase Angelle and Jordan Darnall.

If you take Statum away from Orangefield, then I think they are still successful, but not as successful. Its hard to replace someone who is hitting over 500 (in my opinion best leadoff man in the district) and undefeated on the mound. To me the district MVP should be given to the best overall player in the district. Hard to argue Statums numbers!

braves24 Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Zoch or Darnall would be the Most Valuable to their teams but the best overall player in 21-3a this year has gotta be Statum. Props ;D
baseballdude Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 When is the last time the MVP didn't come from the district champion? (in 21-3a) I was just wondering... ???
