It is all about the money and not having to coach football.  When he left and went to Katy he got a substantial raise and picked up a camp that was already established and flourishing.  Also he has no football duties there.

It might not be that easy. Coach Newton did a great job with that program in just one year. It was the best I saw them look in a long time. Mac might have to settle for the JV for now.

You can split the hairs anyway you want to. He got fired from being the baseball coach, end of story. You can sugar coat it all you want and say he was reassigned. Good for you. I hope it makes you or whomever feel better. Bottom line, he was fired.

I hope if he wants to stay on at Silsbee that he doesn't listen to me because I will be in his ear trying to help him find a place that appreciates what he has to offer.

Like I said, I didn't agree with it. I am not splitting hairs. If he ws fired, he wouldn't have a job period right now. He still has a job and getting paid. I think the proper term would be that he got demoted. Definite difference in being fired and being demoted.

Like I said, you can split hairs anyway you want to. I think if you wanted to split hairs you would say he was reassigned. Either way he isn't the baseball coach at Silsbee and I hope he chooses to stay in that profession and find another job coaching baseball.
