I am not sure about the tide tonight. I might go about 10PM-ish if I go...... and if the weather holds.

I was okay I guess and not really muddy in the channel from all the rain. On Pleasure Island last night near the boat basin, we saw lots of fish exploding in huge schools of shad. We were at work and couldn't fish though. I saw one guy make a cast with a shad on his hook and in about 10 seconds he hooked one up but lost it by the bank. We left as it started to rain but we still saw them exploding in those schools of shad.

After the fireworks show, I fished for about 20 minutes. I caught one at almost 18" and a couple of undersized ones. I couldn't see much moving where I was so I gave it up early.

well, me and bucof2010, and maybe thetragichippy are gonna go out and try our luck tonight, and tvc has said he's going to make a cameo appearance.  i'm looking forward to catching some fish, and meeting a few folks that i've been talking to on here for years!

No luck tonight... i caught one undersized trout, and that was it for all of us.  no tvc sighting, but we probably left before he had a chance to make it out.

I got out there about 10:45PM. I saw a couple of people fishing on the seawall.

Made a trip to the jetties a week ago last Mon.  Got in the water around 5pm.  Ended up with 13 trout, 1 red.  Some real good fish too.  Can't wait to get back!

The specks are moving back north again.. finally.

I did a spur of the moment trip late Thursday night. I started fishing about 11:15PM and finished about 1:15AM. I took home 8 keeper specks with the biggest being a little over 18". I caught 16 others that were undersized or right at the 15" mark and I didn't want to chance it.

You would have loved it last night, especially if you just wanted to catch fish. I caught almost 30 and they were still hitting when I left.

All of the above.

I couldn't find much live bait but when I did find some, I lost it in less than a minute. I got tired of using the cast net. I finally caught the most on about a 2.5" shad looking lure that I had just bought at Academy. It looked about the right size, shape and color of the shad so I tried it. I am heading back for some more.

Like flyfishing, match the hatch. Throw a bait at 'em that looks like what they are eating.
