Obviously I am not there, but unless it was a blatant balk, a game winning run should NEVER be scored on a balk!!!! Particularly a series winning run!!!

Getting a balk called right after PNG defended the suicide squeeze perfectly is a very tough way to lose the series.

I understand the venting. I just don't want any misunderstandings. I don't recall any baseball games ending on a balk. I'm sure some have, but I haven't seen it 'till now.

I'm not denying that. 

My point is the next time you see a season end on a balk call will now be the 2nd time it happens.  Horrible decision by the ump no matter how bad the balk was....and no I wouldnt be thrilled if it happened the other way around. Noones season should end that way.

That may explain how the media works in SETX, but if you knew the GCDN guys, you would know that they do have "obvious credibility."  And, for the record, I wasn't vouching for their credibility when I first posted (but I am now).  Here's an idea PNG Proud, try posting when you actually have something intelligent to say.

I wasn't there but I just spoke to someone who was there and the balk was actually called on the catcher.

From what I gathered, runners on 1st and 3rd, 2 outs, the runner on first started to slightly jog to 2nd to try and induce a throw to maybe score the runner from 3rd. PNG catcher stood up out of his stance thinking that the pitcher was going to try and throw the runner out. But the pitcher made the pitch instead and the catcher got back down in his stance and made the catch. That is a no-no. Had the catcher remained up in his stance no balk would have been called.

It's still a pretty crappy way to end a series.
