Its a fact that Joubert all staters have those days every year during school. I've been watching the news for years. But hey, it must be the system and not the players ;)

Go ahead and compare the all staters.   Here is where your lack of basketball knowledge will be uncovered.  You are speaking of Ryan Donahoe, Jarvis Benard, and Jacoby Turner.  By the way..........what I am about to type are facts.......not opinions.

Ryan Donahoe- Had a FULL scholarship offer from SFA on the coaches desk at HJ.  Why did he have this offer?  An HJ coach had an old friend who was on the SFA staff and they had no interest.  He said come see him for me.  The assistant came and two nights later the head coach was there.  Ryan was offered the scholarship and told he would have a chance to start the next year for a team that was at that moment in time the best team in the Southland.  Ryan took the advice of an AAU coach and held out for bigger offers.  Never got them and now he is at a JUCO.

Jarvis Benard-  Jarvis was a 5'8 shooting gaurd who was a great player in high school.  That coach contacted the same people at SFA along with others in the southland.  No interest.  He also contacted San Jac(coach there was a personal friend) who came and watched him play several times but ultimately was not interested.  Jarvis ended up with Donahoe at a JUCO in kansas because of the HJ coaches relationship with a former LSCPA assistant.

Jacoby Turner-  Not truly interested in playing basketball but would if he couldnt play football.  Currently has 4 basketball workouts setup with JUCO's because the HJ coaches set them all up.


Anything else?

P.S.  Besides Ryan Donahoe the other two all staters you speak of are a dime a dozen in the Houston area and that is a fact!!!!!  Great players on the 3A level but would have been just another guy in Houston or Dallas.

Go ahead and compare the all staters.   Here is where your lack of basketball knowledge will be uncovered.  You are speaking of Ryan Donahoe, Jarvis Benard, and Jacoby Turner.  By the way..........what I am about to type are facts.......not opinions.

Ryan Donahoe- Had a FULL scholarship offer from SFA on the coaches desk at HJ.  Why did he have this offer?  An HJ coach had an old friend who was on the SFA staff and they had no interest.  He said come see him for me.  The assistant came and two nights later the head coach was there.  Ryan was offered the scholarship and told he would have a chance to start the next year for a team that was at that moment in time the best team in the Southland.  Ryan took the advice of an AAU coach and held out for bigger offers.  Never got them and now he is at a JUCO.

Jarvis Benard-  Jarvis was a 5'8 shooting gaurd who was a great player in high school.  That coach contacted the same people at SFA along with others in the southland.  No interest.  He also contacted San Jac(coach there was a personal friend) who came and watched him play several times but ultimately was not interested.  Jarvis ended up with Donahoe at a JUCO in kansas because of the HJ coaches relationship with a former LSCPA assistant.

Jacoby Turner-  Not truly interested in playing basketball but would if he couldnt play bball.  Currently has 4 basketball workouts setup with JUCO's because the HJ coaches set them all up.

P.S.  Besides Ryan Donahoe the other two all staters you speak of are a dime a dozen in the Houston area and that is a fact!!!!!  Great players on the 3A level but would have been just another guy in Houston or Dallas.

Last time I looked, a press conference and a number have nothing in common.  First you wanted to compare numbers.  When that didnt work out, you wanted to compare press conferences.  ANYONE can arrange a Press Conference WHENEVER they want to.  If that is your criteria for measurement of success, your values/judgement are nonexistent.  By the way, just HOW MANY press conferences have been held in Kountze over the last ten years regarding junior college basketball signees?  You and I both KNOW the answer but you will either lie about it or say it doesnt interest you.

Ahhh..........so is joubert an un intelligent coach because they lost early in the playoffs.........If you are judging intelligence by records you are barking up the WRONG tree pal!!!!  Not shocking you brought that year up.........another one of your people got "messed with" that year!

Seems to me that the only thing that Swag, Betrayed, HJ supporter on the outside but hater on the inside can do is reply to factual and intelligent comments with rhetoric or propaganda.  Although, I truly believe SWAG is driven by some type inner HJ demons of the past his double life and literary tactics or doing more harm than good.  Truth be known this dude probably doesn't miss a HJ game (opportunity to coach from the stands) goes there and feels one of his homies didn't get treated fairly and then makes his way back home and bashes.  My daddy told me a long time a go if want something bad enough don't depend on others to do anything for you. If playing time is what you want prove yourself.  I don't know too many coaches who sit athletes that keep their nose clean, display a positive attitude, work hard and produce on game night.  Also much to your dismay at some point, in the recruiting phase the athlete has to eventually sell HIMSELF. The most important thing about going to play at the next level should be to get a quality education and learn some  life lessons not just for notches on the belt, press conferences or the topic of porch conversation 20 years later.  By the way, Swag, Betrayed, HJ Lover/Hater whatever: the more you stir paint the thinner it gets and your comments or getting awful thin.

[/quote] The new kid is just a peace of the team, there are no stand out players on this team, But as a team they look real good, very balanced with size inside and a great set of shooters on the outside. After watching the games Tuesday with EC and HF, and I know this is just summer ball and scores dont mean anything,but this should be another good season for HJ.
