Both players bring something to the table:

Smith is a game manager and has the ability to get the ball to everybody. He moves the offense down the field methodically.

Forney has the most upside in regards to overall talent. He has the "big play" ability coaches like in a playmaker. However, he's very high risk/high reward in his QB play. He also can play WR/TE or DE.

Nederland is returning 4 experienced WRs and have picked up Chris Cunningham from the basketball team (good size and good ups) who will contribute immediately. Coaches will pick the QB who puts the team in the best position to win.
