I would think most people would agree OF's offense has been the difference in 98% of their games this year. OF has to stop a very, very potent Jasper team, don't get me wrong. But OF 1 through 9 has been the difference for the Bobcats this year including last week. If Jasper holds OF to 4-5 runs twice, Dogs win. But it takes a lot to do that.

Wish we had scores for both teams for all their games this year.  Neither teams has been held to 4 or 5 runs very many times.  I know in Jasper's losses they were shut out once by Hester.

O'field year       320 runs scored  and 98 allowed  in 33 games
        playoffs   52  runs scored  and 18 allowed  in  7 games
                      Games held to 3 or fewer runs 3 times

Jasper  year      300 runs scored  and 96 allowed in 37 games
        playoffs   56   runs scored  and 29 allowed in 7 games
                      Games held to 3 or fewer runs 5 times
So get ready both of these guys can score

I think it speaks well for southeast texas. We have two teams in the regional finals.  Pretty awesome. Baseball in our area is top notch. Will not predict a winner, All I can say is go bobcats. Jasper has the history as reported on another thread but history has nothing to do with this series. Two good teams that will battle to the end. I hope 2005 repeats itself. ;D ;D

Pedro you said that Statum and Angelle are no Matt Hicks well Jasper did not beat Matt Hicks the first game, so I was just pointing out that Orangefield did beat him twice. I feel This series, If they put High School baseball on espn, would make the ESPN Classic channel Sunday morning.

The best 2 teams in Reg 3 are playing tonight and they are local. Since I didn't see Robinson I can't say that we have the top 3 3a teams in Reg 3, but it's a good testament of the kinda baseball our area produces.

Jasper made plenty of mistakes in this game also.  I don't know that a single run was earned by either team.

The scoreboard said 2 errors each but I bet is was more like 4 each. 

Jasper did make a couple of huge defensive plays that were game changers.  The double play in the 1st was huge and the diving catch at the end obviously was too.  Statum absolutely crushed that last pitch.
