Ozen isnt looking so great this year. They dont seem like the top notch Basketball team in the distrcit. Central and Nederland are the two best teams IMO..

And that game was just sumer league, but it showed that the JV team for Nederland will be pretty darn good.  ;)

its nederland and everybody else

remember that six varsity players were soph. that the nederland jv team basically went against the same freshman class that they faced this year. the juniors like david green didnt play. so this summer thing called basketball doesnt trully tell you what you have.

Those sophs of Nederland have been playing Varsity teams over the summer and really doing well. Most of those kids are going to be on JV getting ready to take over after this senior class graduates. Nederland has good squad with potential to be a good playoff team. 3 returning 1st team all district players in Forney, K-Smith, and Cunningham should have solid years to help the Dogs.

[/quote]I reported at the beginning of the summer Ozen does not have the talent like in the past. It's their down cyle clicking in now.

I still don't think anyone beats Nederland or Ozen. Central and LCM will be fighting for 3rd.

i just really don't think we're gonna be able to stay focused this year. i go to school with all these kids and they just don't have what it takes to repeat. just tryin to be real

Fair enough. I know all the seniors pretty well and completely understand the focus comment. But you dont think coach English is good enough to keep them focused enough to be beat Lumberton or Vidor?? No way...

I think he is saying players don't have basketball as their top priority. Don't agree with him at all but we shall see... And I dont call them cocky I call them confident.

He is just trying to make sure the guys dont come into the season too high on themselves and think that people are just going to let them win without earning it. I know all those guys too and I know that they will compete and play hard. Im just wondering about who in the program would comment like this. Just curious.
