Hookem17 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 You have Giddings in the !a bracket? I think it should be Thorndale. I just heard that Evadale plays Thorndale Wednesday at 1 P.M.
East TX Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 It is interesting in all the teams in the 3A final four went UNDEFEATED in bracket play except Jasper--Bridge City defeated them 10-5 in the first game and the lost at the last of game 3 after leading 2-1 quite late and then were tied 2-2 till a late error was their downfall. Matt Hicks showed he is All State material in his Pitching ability to take such a young team so deep in the bracket play.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 I am wondering how there strength of schedual would match up....Do they do that for baseball also?

It appears that rankings are done strictly by won/loss percentage.Consider this:In 1A, here are the winning percentages:Evadale - .853Windthorst - .829Stamford - .742Thorndale - .686In 3A:Pleasant Grove - .945Giddings - .911Jasper - .897Lubbock Estacado - .800In 4A:Calallen - .902Brenham - ..875Wichita Falls Rider - .860Frisco Wakeland - .756In all the above cases, the team with the highest winning percentage is pitted against the team with the lowest and the team with the second highest winning percentage is pitted against the team with the third highest.Come on broadcaster, what is the next one. LOL!
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 I dont want to bust a bubble, but I was talking about opponent records, as what was the total win loss records of their district that they played....how strong was their district....you know strength of scheduale....Now go back and do it again....(throwing paper work in garbage can) Jeeez ask for one simple thing and now the dog ate his homework......I'm glad you dont work in the legal field ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)
WOSgrad Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 I guess I need to amend my answer to your original question. So here goes:No the UIL does not rank the teams by strength of schedule, but by won/loss percentage.Where do you think this is...Louisiana? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
BrenhamFan Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Strength of schedule and strength of district would be nice to know....

NOW if that is toooo difficult I'll just use the "ask the 8 Ball". ::) ::) ::)
