Astros draft Delino Deshields Jr. 2cd baseman at 8th overall..I think they could have gotten him at no. 19 but that's the Astros for you.

1st round picks out of HS should never go to college! What is there to gain? Go back and look at the past and most that have done this have regreted it big time.

Delino was taken a tad bit early but the other 2 picks were good from the scouting reports I have read.

Surely the Astros know this guy will sign....they nave been burned way too much in the past.
These days teams clear most signability issues on their first few picks before actually drafting them.

Well from what I have read he seems excited to go to UT and I believe the Ole Miss guy that got drafted 5th by the Indians got drafted late in the 1st round out of highschool, but wanted to work on some things. Who knows!!???
