ForeverADog Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 I think he will be good but not that good!
baddog Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 New pitchers always seem to give teams fits because no one has seen them. Look what Buckholtz did early on.Where can I view this game?
adminbaberuth Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 3 up and 3 down with a K.I'm on road, can't watch.
Guest baseball25 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 14 ks, 7 innings, 2 earned, 4 hits......he's the real deal has very good command of the fastball and throws the curveball really well, also has a very good sinker, throws 4 pitches for strikes and the big thing is, his fastball was at 97 in the 7th it has alot run on the ball and be's pretty filthy, I just hope he stays healthy and has a good career, but no doubt the guy is very good.
EAGLE07 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Very impressive. The guy is for real. The HR was actually on a changeup that wasn't a bad pitch. Down in the zone just a little over the plate too much. Curveball impressed me more than the 100 mph heater.
baddog Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 The announcers made me sick. They already have him in the HOF.The HR was more like a defensive swing that happened to catch it just right. He went down and got a good pitch. Nothing can be done about stuff like that. 14 Ks is very impressive. He's also got a great catcher in Pudge.
bullets13 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 unbelievable start! and he struck out the last 7 he faced... usually the batters do better after they've seen the pitcher a couple of times in the game.
mat Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 More impressively, he handled the pressure. I hope he keeps his head right.
Critter Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 And don't forget the main stat "NO WALKS" no free base runners.... Outstanding
adminbaberuth Posted June 13, 2010 Author Report Posted June 13, 2010 Good start in Cleveland, after 1, 2k,s
adminbaberuth Posted June 13, 2010 Author Report Posted June 13, 2010 Finished for day:5.1 iph 2er 1r 1k 8bb 5
ForeverADog Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Not near as good as his first outing but the Nats I'm sure will still take that performance every 5th day

bullets13 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010
5.0. 9 K. Dn 1-0
unbelievable. First 3 starts in the majors and i can almost guarantee you that you can't find a pitcher (maybe 1 or 2, but i doubt it) who can take their three highest K totals for the year and add up to a higher number than he has.
adminbaberuth Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Posted July 3, 2010 just witnessed a 90 mph changeup.
