Thought only 2 teams advanced
No, apparently, 3 do.  I thought the same as you.

Awesome gives woodville and Anahuac a chance  :D

Woodville, Anahuac, EC, and buna fight for the 3rd spot.  You know Bucof2010 Buna gave all EC could handle the last couple of years. Will be a fight for the last 2 spots.

3 teams advance to the playoffs:

1.  Newton
2.  [s]East Chambers[/s] ANAHUAC (and will give Newton all they can handle)
3.  [s]Anahuac[/s] EC
4.  Buna
5.  Woodville
6.  Hardin
7.  Kountze
8.  Warren

^ This is more realistic ^

Didn't you'll say that last year?
Yep, sure did...and I'm gonna say it again this year, especially since the game is at our place.  Don't worry neighbor, I'm behind y'all on all other games!

This is a very tough district. Everyone knows newton will take 1st but if they get upsetted good for them. but the 2nd and 3rd spots are a toss up. it could go anywhere. it depends on who wants it more and who works hardest during the offseason. its gonna be very interesting to watch these teams battle it out each week. im sure they wont dissapoint.

Kountze may come out a little higher than everyone is expecting. an average of 40 kids showing up to work out every day in the summer doesnt make for a losing team. with this many kids investing this much time, sweat, and effort they will not lay down and give up like previous years. be expecting a more athletic, stronger, faster team for 2010.

I am glad to hear that. Coach Stewart is a good guy and I think could get them a fighting chance in the district.  And goodness knows that in this district, he is gonna need to do that.

I think the top three will be Anahuac, EC, and Newton, not necessarily in that order. Team speed and an injury free season will determine the order. Newton is the favorite and should have an advantage in the team speed department, but anything can happen in a district this large and talented. Advancing in the playoffs should be the overall goal and the district should fair well there. Playing against talented teams week in and week out should prepare any district representative well for the playoffs. It's too bad that some good teams may be sitting at home the first week of the playoffs.
