Just as a side note, WB will not play one single game next year on grass (unless our stadium is in an incomplete state). All of our scheduled games will be played on turf. Ike, NS, and LaPorte all have turf....those are our only away games next year.

So, if there is issues with the ground (foundation) on the playing field, what about the soil under the concrete under the stands?  If they didnt do soil samples, then how did they prepare the concrete?  Is there going to be issues in 5 years?

There shouldn't be an issue underneath the stands because they poured under-reams like 30 ft. deep. This should prevent the concrete from shifting.

Cool......

I thought you needed to do soil samples to know how deep to make the under-reams.....

Anyone know?

As long a the pier is deep enough to reach soil that has no moisture variation, it doesn't matter what type soil is on top.  I assume at 30 feet that the soil never gets dry in that area, so no shrinkage,  which is what causes movement.
