bullets13 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 i didn't read the article, but yes, they're capable of beating the US. that being said, they SHOULD NOT.

bojonomore Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 We totally got screwed...while there were two bad calls in the first half, the offside on Maurice Adu (Edu? idk) was literally the worst call I've seen in my two weeks of watching soccer
hj_hawk_60 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 From what i understood he did not call offsides.. It was a call by the Referee, not the Assistant (offside ref), that called the goal back, but the Ref would not say what the call was.. there did not appear to be any foul committed by the US.. Also the "Hand Ball" call on Finley in the first half that the ref gave him a yellow card for was awful.. The ball hit Finley in the face and he was yellowcarded and will now miss the game against Algeria because of that..
utguy09 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 It seemed like anychance that he could screw the us he did it.
bullets13 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 not to make it sound like an us vs. them thing, it seems like we're victimized by the officials in every major competition we play in. it's usually cheap red cards. i can remember bad red cards given in the first two games of last year's world cup, in the first two games of the olympics, and in the first two games of the federation's cup. i think nearly all of those were in the 1st half of the game as well, basically eliminating any chance the US had to win.
