Maybe we can get him to x-fer to Dayton and use him as a wildcat QB and utilized all his talents running and receiving like we did with Ploch .

Really not trying to stir the pot here, BUT, how does Merka compare to Dayton's former QB Green?  They are both about the same size, they both were ranked similarly as dual threats nationally, both are  D-1 talents, just seems like an interesting parallel.  I don't want this to turn into people talking a lot of chit, but both of these kids are talented.  Just curious about how you guys would compare the two?

I wouldn't compare the two but since you asked.  Merka isn't in the same league as Cody Green.  They are similar in size, but Cody is a better athlete and has a better arm. 

Merka in 13 games last year:

1320 Yards Passing, 10 td's, 5 int's
1009 Yards Rushing, 9 td's

Green in 15 games as a senior:

3265 Yards Passing 35 td's, 4 int's
1610 Yards Rushing 25 td's

Merka has a long way to go his senior to get anywhere close to 5000 yards and 60 Td's.
