In the proposal are plans for a new 6500 seat field with turf to be constructed by the high school. I don't think this is a done deal, just being talked about by the board. Also included is a 60 acre indoor practice facility.

So Jasper is going to have a covered practice field cover 6 times more area than the Astrodome? I'll bet that never gets past the discussion stage without being downsized a bit... Or to look at it another way, the in-bounds area football playing field covers about 1 acre. Jasper might cover 60 acres with pine trees.

Land95 Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 I see alot of people not happy with this plan for a new staduim come on people why not im sick of looking at that crap we play in and it will bring money to jasper look at all the playoff game silsbee get's and carthage cause of there stadium they have. We need this maybe not the indoor but a new staduim yes. And the program had a good year and will continue to build.
