[b]Devils take advantage of walks, win 6-4[/b]

The Texas Sun Devils walked five times in their 6-4 victory over South West Florida.  Four of those walks came around to score and ruined what could have been a good day for the SWFL pitching staff.

Derrian James (2011 Port Arthur, TX) went 2-for-3 and drove in one of those four runs that came about from walks.  Third basemen Quinton Evans (2011 Orange, TX) went 1-for-2 with a run, RBI, and a walk.  Second basemen Trevin Sonnier (2011 Beaumont, TX) went 1-for-3 with a double, and also drove in a run that reached base from a walk.

Third basemen Dylan Wyant (2011 Osprey, FL) hit a home run in a day filled with home runs around both age divisions in the tournament.  Wyant went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run to go with the homer.

Bridge City's Cameron Dishon from the Texas Sun Devils placed 4th in the Fastest Man Competition today at the BCS tournament in Ft Meyers.  Congrats to Cameron and the Sun Devils!

The Sun Devils have a record of 4-0 for the tournament and play 2 games on Saturday.  Go Devils!

The Sun Devils won both games today.  They will play in the 1st round of the play offs Sunday at 2:00 pm in Fort Meyers.
