Guest WELL1 Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 West End Little League will hold fall baseball registration on Wednesday August 25 and Thursday August 26 from 5pm to 7pm at the Henderson Field Press Box at West End Little League. League ages 6-12. (note-we do not play T-ball in the fall) Your league age is your child’s age on May 1,2011. League ages 6-8 will be playing coach pitch; 9-10 will be playing minor league and 11-12 will play in the major league. Cost is $60 per player which includes a jersey and a hat. Registration, medical release and volunteer forms can be found under the documents section of the website. (westendll.org)The season will be consist of 10 games played between the middle of September and the last week of October. Games will only be scheduled on Mondays , Tuesdays or Thursdays so as not to interfere with soccer and football on the weekends. The program is fairly laid back. We have some special rules such as each pitcher is limited to 2 innings per game, you must bat the line-up and open substitutions. Players and teams from other leagues are welcome to participate if your league does not offer a fall program. You can either enter an entire team or have individual players placed on one of our teams. Fall ball is a great opportunity for your child to work on skills in a more laid back atmosphere or to be introduced to the field on which your child will play in the Spring. For more information, please go to westendll.org or contact Steven Toups at 466-8720.
Horns89 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Will you have any umpires for the majors division ? Have played out there during fall before and didn't have anybody to call behind the plate.
Guest WELL1 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Some nights there will be umpires and others there will not. Generally, we have parents or coaches call from behind the mound and on the bases which has worked out well over the years in the laid back fall program. Hope this helps!
