KFDM COOP Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/local/local_coaches_ponder_possibility_of_class_6a.html
the sports guy Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 When it happens......I believe Silsbee would be bumped to a 4A. What do you think would happen with your school?
NorthoftheBorder Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It's possible to see a 4A division with enrollment numbers that run from 750-800 to 1400-1500. That would keep most of the current local 4A schools in that division but would possibly add Silsbee, Jasper & WOS.
BrenhamFan Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Were the 7th biggest school in our district, so my guess is Brenham stays 4A.
liltex Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 And you should be as the dist.goes nearly to the Brazos river @Washington :D

Were the only 4A school in the Houston area that's west of the Brazos. Out in the middle of nowhere...

liltex Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Put in me an order for 6 brown swiss ice cream makin cows so they can stock my freezer on fudgesickles.Poor calves get a brain freeze :o ;D
WOSgrad Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Put me down for 6 vats of Tin Roof (I loved that stuff!)Back to the possibility of schools moving, you'll probably see schools like Huffman, Splendora and Cleveland move up to 4A. Silsbee is in the zone of possibility.Anahuac and maybe even Buna and Kountze could be moving up to 3A if the plan sticks.

Tim Riggins Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 If 4A numbers top out at 1500-1600, then that would send Central to 5A. I believe their number is over 1650 now.

bobbymcgee Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Here's one guess of who would go where:http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/huddle/2010/07/22/how-class-6a-would-affect-area-teams-wbreakdown/if it happened then Central, Vidor, Ned and PN-G would probably have to go play in a 5A District with the Baytown schools or something like that

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 So Memorial would be 6A?? Um, I think they should dead the issue now. ;D
rschuldt Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 I think Dayton would stay a 4A school, which gives us more time to play Brenham.

rschuldt Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 I don't know. To me it would make more sense for y'all to be with a Houston district and us with a Beaumont district, but that's based off of drive times (it took a little over 2.5 hours yesterday from Brenham to Dayton).
AggiesAreWe Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 Saw these numbers posted on another site for a mock 6A:6A 2581 and up5A 1435 - 25804A 625 - 14343A 300 - 6242A 160 - 2991A 159 and down
