BMTSoulja1 Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 Well, they'll just put them in Non-District like they do Central and WB when Central moved down to 4a...
liltex Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 Oh heck no,could't be could it .Dayton & Liberty in the same district. If it happens guess things you wish for do come true it's been along time to avenge a 1963 massacre of Dayton by Liberty 72-6 followed in 1964 by a 60-0 score so that means just to get even we need to spank them 126-0.Ya'll wouldn't hold it against us would ya? ??? 8) :'( :D

Bigdog Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 Well since that mock district has 12 teams in it, that would make for an interesting season...

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 It has to happen. The metroplex IMO is the cause for it. Schools are getting too big too fast. I say next re-alignment it will happen.

rschuldt Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Dayton vs. Liberty is what you could call a Trinity River Rivalry (TRR).
Matthew328 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 I just finished my mock alignment...here's my cut offsClass 6A 2255-Up 202 schoolsClass 5A 1435-2254 199 schoolsClass 4A 715-1434 173 schoolsClass 3A 345-714 163 schoolsClass 2A Div. 1 261-344 85 schoolsClass 2A Div. 2 195-260 87 schoolsClass A Div. 1 149-194 77 schoolsClass A Div. 2 100-148.5 79 schoolsMind you I included the 17 new football playing schools for 2012 realignment as well to make it a more realistic projection of what we'll see in 2012. Division 1/Division 2 will stay...you can't take 4 teams to the playoffs and have just one Division.....season would go past Christmas...I believe this will happen in 2012...also look for an interesting first round twist w/the district champions...
BrenhamFan Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 We have 1438, so if things stay the same and and we don't get any smaller, looks like we'll be 5A. (Prolly the smallest 5A in the state) Alot can happen in 2 years though.
Matthew328 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Yes a ton can happen..its just kind of a fun working model for us....DCTF did just 6A but realignment is something you can't do one class or one area...its a domino type affect statewide where you gotta break it all down
Matthew328 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Here's Class 6Ahttp://theoldcoach.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1106142
rschuldt Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Brenhamfan, no sweat yet. My cousins, who live in Fredericksburg, went to FHS several years ago and it was 4A by 3 students. In the 2008 realignment though, they moved back to 3A.

There would be 20 3A teams as compared to only 7 2A teams, with those seven being divided by division. It would be very difficult to district locally our 3A and 2A schools.6A and 5A locally is easy to figure district wise as each would have a complete district. 4A would split in two local districts with BH, Dayton, Livingston, Cleveland, Huffman and Splendora in one district and Ozen, LCM, Lumberton, PNG, Vidor, Jasper and Silsbee in the other district.I wouldn't even pretend to try and figure out how the 3A-1A districts locally would fall.Someone else can give it a try. ;D

Using these numbers that Matt has for the mock 6A realignment, 5A would be 1435-2254. PNG and Vidor have 1404 and 1416 in this past realignment. They would stay in 4A with these numbers.
