PN-G is a powerhouse and always has been since I can remember, but LC-M has also been pretty decent. I think it will be a nailbiter, but PN-G will probably win by no more than 7 points.

Your 'football powerhouse' missed the playoffs in 2005, 2006, and 2008...  I wonder if you knew that?  Is that what you call a powerhouse.  Truth be told, we (20-4a) don't have powerhouse', but we have competitive football across the board...

powerhouse????? that has to be a first, i always liked the terms no talent, too small, no speed, you know crap like that, but i would better ourselves by just saying pride honor tradition. As long as we are competitive that is all that matters, now that we have a coach who doesnt have tunnel vision i think we will be allright. we will always be the team everyone loves to hate probably because all they hear is Cherokee over and over especially after every big play or score lol, what you think soulja1 ready to see that indian doing the tomahawk chop slash line dance lol

Cherokee will grow on you living in an area w/a pretty good team.I lived in Alvarado Tx for awhile(3) yrs.And they've been to the playoff's 14 times since 88 and those Indians although are spirited fans can hold a candle to what PNG fans/band/cheer bring.Check it out sometimes-put on some purple go to a game and it'll grow on you .

Ah, you are just jealous that Central isn't as good as PN-G and Dayton.  Talkin' about the power of Purple and White.

People keep on mentioning the 7 on 7 success of LCM, which is impressive, but what most people fail to notice about this game is that PNG's offensive line has 5 starters that all started more than a single game on varsity at one point last season (2 started the entire year). The defensive line also has 3 returning starters (2 first team all district) and 2 more that have varsity experience. The game is won and lost in the trenches, with that being said, Bertrand will probably run for just as many yards as Harmon did against LCM last year, and the pressure on Gonzales will be too much for him the play 7 on 7, hence the only success being on the WR screen last year. It should be an exciting game, but don't look for it to be too close in the very end.

I agree.  I only said that maybe their success will transform into momentum and confidence.  I never said it would make them the best team in 20-4A or anything.

[/quote]I'm gonna have to call you out on this one, you are either crazy or you weren't at the game if you honestly believe that PNG had their third string O and D in the game at anytime. They were never up more than 7 points except in the first half, and I'm pretty sure no coach in their right mind would pull any starter in a game like that.The ignorance of that post is overwhelming. Maybe if you go take another look at the game film you will notice that no starters were even pulled, much less replaced by the 3rd string? Lol

first off i never said i was talking about the PNG LCM game. i was talking about the Vidor LCM game so that just throws your argument out the window.
