Warren hires new basketball coach

Jim Lewis is the new basketball coach.

I'm afraid this is a football hire to coach the basketball team.I hope I'm wrong because I know there were some really good basketball coaches out there who interviewed for this position.I hope Coach Lewis does good things for the Warriors.

Near as I can figure it looks like this:
04-05  Harmony - Position/ record unknown
05-08  Huffman-Hargrave - Position/ record unknown
08-09  Spledora - Assistant JV Basketball
09-10  OFF

No mention of any accomplishments or overall record.
Unless someone can fill in the gaps or I am just missing something, it certainly appears we are dumping the basket program.

Gotta feel for the young kids in the program.The program is made up entirely of Sophomores and Freshman who have some potential.When you're in a football district as tough as this one throwing your basketball program out with the dishwater isn't a real good idea.

you gotta give him a chance first...... ;) I know they had problems with applicants because of the teaching field that was coupled with the basketball job...

[/quote]I'll certainly wish him the best.Maybe it was just a coincidence that the guy with the right teaching field is also going to coach the secondary.I know there were some really good applicants for this position but I honestly don't know what their teaching field was, I hope the kids get a chance to develope and maybe some of the older kids will come out.
