Bobcatfan4life Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 I know it's early but after the first week of district play who appears to have the best shot to win the district? Coldspring (1-0) Shepherd (1-0) Splendora (1-0) Liberty (0-1) Tarkington (0-1) Cleveland (0-1) I think that Coldspring will win it going undefeated with the Liberty/Splendora winner getting the second spot and the loser going third. If this were to happen the bidistrict round would look like this........ D1 Silsbee vs D1 Splendora #1 D2 WOS vs #2 D2 Liberty #2 D2 Kville, BC, OF vs #1 D2 Coldspring
Go-rilla Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 they all have supreme weaknesses. it's really a toss up.
Ty Cobb Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 This district will be swept in the playoffs. Not one team stands a chance of advancing to round 2.
Go-rilla Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 no, but it will be nice to see more time for wos reserve players. since all of their games have been so close in district. I would rather be a back up there. you get to play more.
biggen Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Go-rilla, what weakness are you talking about....give me some examples
Guest demup Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Coldspring, for example, is just way too fast to do much.
the TRUTH Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Go-rilla' date=' what weakness are you talking about....give me some examples[/quote'] I wish I could give you some intelligent examples, but I don't have much for you. They are all very weak teams that will be dominated in bi-district.
Go-rilla Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Liberty cant throw the ball. coldsprings is inconsistent. Beating Forest Brook and then losing to Diboll.without moye. Splendora- very tough kids, but inconsistent with scoring. The others are all about the same. score 30+ one week and 0 the next.
Hupernikomen Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 This district will be swept in the playoffs. Not one team stands a chance of advancing to round 2. That has been said before about this district..although BH and Huffman were a part of it back then.
Lukethadrifter Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Coldspring should be the favorite with all the speed. After that, it is a tossup. Shepherd scores points but gives up a lot as well. I can't believe Tarkington is even mentioned but I know they have a decent QB. After a slow start, Splendora is now putting points on the board but has given up some points as well. Liberty and Coach Stewart always seem to get better when district rolls around and Cleveland, well 0-6 speaks volumes for them. My picks: Coldspring 5-0 Liberty 4-1 Splendora 3-2
