Boomhower
I am glad for both Berkman and Oswalt, I hated to see them rotting away on this team. Excited that they will get a chance to win again. As for the Astros, I am glad to see them finally moving in a different direction and finally realizing that they suck. Don't really understand why Brett Myers would be untouchabe, he just might bring back better prospects than you get in both the Roy and Lance deals because of the money he is owed the remainder of the year. Just wish there was a way they could get rid of Carlos Lee.

mat
I'm a fan and I know changes had to be made but all the faces of the Astros are gone. It's a totally new age and it's hard to see happen.

mat
No suprise. He was already slumping and hasn't handled pressure well but I hope he picks it up and gets back to his old slugging ways.

I'm talking the last couple of years as his numbers and confidence has dropped.I still hope he picks it up for the Yanks
Ruckdad
Berkman's stats for the last few years:SEASON▲ TEAM▲ G▼ AB▼ R▼ H▼ TB▼ 2B▼ 3B▼ HR▼ RBI▼ BB▼ IBB▼ SO▼ SB▼ CS▼ AVG▼ OBP▼ SLG▼ OPS▼ GO/AO 2005 HOU 132 468 76 137 245 34 1 24 82 91 12 72 4 1 .293 .411 .524 .934 1.22 2006 HOU 152 536 95 169 333 29 0 45 136 98 22 106 3 2 .315 .420 .621 1.041 0.84 2007 HOU 153 561 95 156 286 24 2 34 102 94 11 125 7 3 .278 .386 .510 .896 1.10 2008 HOU 159 554 114 173 314 46 4 29 106 99 18 108 18 4 .312 .420 .567 .986 1.09 2009 HOU 136 460 73 126 234 31 1 25 80 97 14 98 7 4 .274 .399 .509 .907 1.17 The important stat is the next to last one on each line OPS - those numbers are REALLY good. Even the .896 - his lowest in the last 5 years - is phenomenal. He is having a down year this year - and maye he is close to being done - but forh the last ten years Lance Berkman has been an elite hitter.
