bullets13 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 They're on fire, winning 9 of 13 since the allstar break, taking series @ boston, @ detroit, and against LAA and OAK. their lead has ballooned to 9 games, and they've made 3 trades now that will greatly help them down the stretch, aquiring Cliff Lee, Bengie Molina, and now Jorge Cantu.
bullets13 Posted August 7, 2010 Author Report Posted August 7, 2010 the rangers have won 3 straight, and are 14-7 since the all-star break! their lead is currently 9 1/2 games over Oakland, and 10 games over LAA!!!!
Guest TheRanch Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Love to hate on them but love Nolan Ryan. Heard on CP's show this week on of the experts think they will win the world series. Cliff Lee is a hoss right? Seen him on sportscenter last night and looks pretty good. That was after I watch the Astros melt down in the ninth................ Grr
Ty Cobb Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Big 2 game series coming up with the yankees. Would like to see the RANGERS get both wins and prove that they can play with anyone in the majors.
Ty Cobb Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Big win for the RANGERS last night. David Murphy hit a 2-run HR to give the RANGERS a 3-2 lead. A HR from ARod tied the game at 3 then the RANGERS loaded the bases in the 10th. Murphy came to the plate and came through with a walk off single. RANGERS win 4-3.

[/quote]big win is right! the rangers had had a two game losing streak coming in, and the A's and Angels have closed the gap a bit (albeit Texas still has a 7 1/2 and 9 game lead over the two of them, respectively). losing last night could have been the start of a nasty losing streak, putting it at 3 games leading up to another game against the Yanks and 3 against Boston this week. It was nice to see how well the Rangers peformed last night in what amounted to a playoff atmosphere, getting a run in the bottom of the tenth off of Mariano Rivera.
AJ25 Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Their team chemistry is some of the best I've ever seen. I believe it's the main reason they're winning.
Ty Cobb Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Man, what a rough 4 games for the RANGERS!!! Need to get healthy and get back on the winning side of things.
bullets13 Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 The Rangers have just swept the Yankees, and have won 5 straight directly after losing 5 straight. i was getting a little nervous for a bit, but i'm feeling much better now! They have an 8.5 game lead with about 15 games left.
Ty Cobb Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Never thought I would say this, but I hope the RANGERS will get the yankees in the first round. Seem to match up better against new york than against tampa bay.
bullets13 Posted September 16, 2010 Author Report Posted September 16, 2010 the rangers won their 7th straight, taking their magic number to 9. oakland is trailing in the 7th.
Ty Cobb Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 If the postseason started today (sept. 17) ...AMERICAN LEAGUERANGERS (3) at rays (1)yankees (Wild Card) at twins (2)NATIONAL LEAGUEreds (3) at phillies (1)braves (Wild Card) at giants (2)Really hoping this changes. Don't want to see the RANGERS go to tampa in round 1.
bullets13 Posted September 19, 2010 Author Report Posted September 19, 2010 a rangers win coupled with an oakland loss drops the magic number to 6!
Ty Cobb Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 The magic number is down to 4 and things are looking better for the RANGERS.If the playoffs started today (sept. 23)AMERICAN LEAGUERangers (3) at Yankees (1)Rays (Wild Card) at Twins (2)NATIONAL LEAGUEPadres (3) at Phillies (1)Braves (Wild Card) at Reds (2)
bullets13 Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 yup, took 12 innings, but they avoided a sweep by the angels. they have a 4 game series starting against oakland today. two wins and they're in.
Jakk11 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 they are gonna do great for the rest of the season and in the playoffs.
Ty Cobb Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Cliff Lee is scheduled to start today so that should give the RANGERS the edge.
bullets13 Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 I'm hoping they get the yankees. they seem to match up well against them. the twins and rays have given the rangers fits all season.

Like I said before, I never thought I would be hoping to play the yankees in the opening round but I think the RANGERS have a better chance against them than they do against tampa bay. Either way, it is September 23 and we are still talking about TEXAS RANGERS baseball.
bullets13 Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 magic number is 2! an 8 game lead with 9 games to play is pretty comfortable :)
Guest jhamilton Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Wish we had NR here in Houston instead of the clutz we have now. Rangers have a good team an hope they win it all. Tbay is going to be tough to beat with their pitching.
