I'd love to eat my words but I see McNeese beating Lamar by 2 TD's.  Give LU a couple of years then my prediction will definitely be different.

Gotta be honest this could get pretty ugly for Lamar.  It's tough for a new team to have a shot against a powerhouse like McNeese.

I predict that regardless of the outcome, it will be good to see the Cardinals back on the field even if it is playing McSneese.

Im a Lamar Grad. and i think Lamar will be taken behind the woodshed 48 to 10.

I'd wish it could be like the Texans first game ever against the Dallas Cowboys. A hard fought defensive victory that brought excitement to the city of Houston about the return of football. It could happen. There is one comparison. Lamar is playing a team called the Cowboys.

I will put good money down that Lamar doesn't score 38 against a defense that returns 10 starters, including preseason all conference members at every position in the secondary.

Mcneese leads the all-time series 20-12-1 and according to the NCAA, last year McNeese averaged 12,948 for their home games.

McNeese has good crowds.  They had 14000 at the game I went to last year.  Coulda, whoulda, shoulda ... series should be 19-13-1.  The 1988 game at their place we lost by 1 point (18-17)- that stings.  A windstorm blew up right before we were going to kickoff and the stadium lights went out.  I remember being glad we weren't going down the field full tilt at the time.
