For sure did not realize that their new district had such teams. WOW could hang in that district for the year and watch some of the best in the state.

No way is that the "tougest district in the State!"  Dawson is legit.......the rest are average or slightly above average.  That sounds like a WOS fan saying they are the best team in the State because of their historical records in the 80's.

....or a certain B Hill backer saying that they will be in the 4A playoffs.

FW history 328-222-11.Since 1996 vs.Dayton 6-1  of those 7 games(  2 were by a fg-1 by a 2 pt.conv.-2 by a pat-1 by a td+pat-And the last but not least in 2008 when Cody Green was coming back after a 2007 leg injury for the season FW beats us by 3 tds & 3 pat's =21 pts.Go figure Cody goes ballistic after guiding Dayton to state. We have never played FW past gm.3 of any year.

;) I believe that was when Jaxson Appel was there. He was a game changer.

ok bh what conferences from top to bottom are better?  two years ago friendswood is in state semis, last year angleton and fw are in quarters and dawson advances to semis.  just curious who you put above, very curious to know?

The most important part of what you said is "last year" and "two years ago".

Everyone knows.......after 19-4A District 22-4A is the next most logical pick.  ;)

But Angleton is not in 24-4A anymore.  If they would have been you would have a better argument.  Friendswood is one of the Top 4A teams and Dawson is good.  But then there is a bit of a drop to the next tier.

I will submit G-Ball, although not as talented as Angleton with Griggs(I think that's his name) still keeps that district competitive because of Suggs being the coach.....

After Dayton and Crosby, 19 4A is soft as drug store cotton unless Wilson gets C. E. King turned around in a hurry....

We are all biased towards our own district. This opinion is from an impartial observer of Tx football. Carries some weight and remember, he is not talking about state titles - he is talking about total depth of the district - every team is capable of doing quite a bit of damage, even the cellar dweller Santa Fe.

Heard after hurr.Ike alot of Ball atheletes left for TC/La Marque to finish their High School and play sports.

They had enough left to make the playoffs in 5A albeit finishing fourth......

top two fw and dawson-can compete with anyone in state.  lamarque.ball.manvel have ability to make nice playoff runs and could spoil a favorites .season.  texas city and santa fe not your typical cupcakes. they would beat up on most teams that are ranked at the bottom of their conference.look at the conferencrs and show me better.

With the addition of Ball, I think that ya'll have the toughest district in the state no doubt. I think in a couple of years 18-4A is going to be a tough one also, but not as tough as 24-4A. 25-4A is another one that going to be tough once some of young programs begin to mature. Alot of people moving to that part of Austin and should produce some good athletes.

24-4A is a gauntlet!  Our district, (17-4A) is pretty weird...  We have 3 of the best teams in 4A region 3 (Brenham, Montgomery & Stratford) On the other hand, the rest of the district is below average, at best.  Could make for an interesting year, with a couple of upsets.

As for 24-4A, my picks are Dawson, Friendswood, Manvel and Ball.
