bojonomore Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Ok prickadickle let me be thorough. Both teams first had 12 plays each starting at the 30 yard line. If they couldn't move 10 yards in 3 plays or if they had a turnover they had to start back at the 30. In the 24 plays that the first stringers had, LCM won 3 touchdowns to 1 touchdown. Then they did some kicking game, followed by a game situation (sans special teams). However, it was not just a first-string thing, and both teams were swapping subs in and out. Brazoswood scored 1 touchdown and nailed about a 40 yard field goal. I believe all of LCM's fans at the game were disappointed in the shape the Bears were in, as they had definately wore out by the end of the game. Besides that they looked pretty good.
BrenhamFan Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Look at Jayhawk doing his homework. ;) Typical scrimmage, their were mistakes by both teams, but they will be corrected before the season starts. We primarily focused on our ground game. Manvel is pretty similar to Angleton. From play calling, to speed, to QB type. They will be a playoff team. All and all, it was a success for both teams.
KFDM COOP Posted August 19, 2010 Author Report Posted August 19, 2010 OF 1 Huffman 1 in controlled part. 2nd part coming up.
Jacket Mom Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Chester scored 5 times on Karnack, one score on an interception. :) Kids seem to be catching on to the new game. Conditioning greatly improved over the past week. Coach has been pushing them hard.Karnack did not score until the very last play of the scrimmage. Big boost to the defensive side of the ball. Did great job on 3rd & 4th downs all night. Gave up a couple of big runs here and there, but come back after and held tight.Tanner Neal and Jacob Lowery both looked great last night and are becoming real leaders on the team. Smallest guys on the field and neither are afraid to run over a blocker. Can't wait until opening night at home next Friday against Mt. Carmel. Should be exciting. Go 'Jackets!
