The Real McCoy 12 Posted August 14, 2010 Author Report Posted August 14, 2010 Yeah they could but that would be alot of work just for a scrimmage not a "game".
Wildcatter Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Not much to this one. Vidor scores on last play of scrimmage. OF looked pretty good on defense especially with some starters out but could not move the ball at all today.

Guest BOBCAT Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 We could not move the ball to save our lives >:(
venom33 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 losing huck is going to hurt that team more so than a few are willing to admit.
lhsof23 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 well we had 3 key players out today our QB (Evans) our HB/LB (Shores) and the other LB(Burton) therefore i think we held up pretty good for not having them
poseidon Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010
losing huck is going to hurt that team more so than a few are willing to admit.
Of course losing him is going to hurt, no one can run that offense like he did. However, the problem today was the offfensive line missing their assignments. But thats what scrimmages are for. The bright spot today was the defense, espically considering two starting linebackers where out. I cant wait for Thursday to see if we have really improved that much or if it was that we were playing against an offense we are familar with.
Tim Riggins Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I imagine this was indeed just like practice for both teams since they both run the same offense. Livingston and Vidor are the only teams in 20 4A that run the slot T, I don't think anyone else in OF's district runs it. Will probably get a better idea of both teams when they face different offenses/defenses next scrimmage.
biaplayer Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 so there was only one score that being vidor on the last play???

piratedad1977 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Orangefield had 14 yards on 35 plays and no first downs
D3zii Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Wow either OF is better then we all think, Or Vidor is in for a long year..Hopefully Coach gets it going over their in Vidor..
piratedad1977 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Guys they had 14 total yards and no first downs. Vidor offense had 208 yds on 35 plays ( almost 6 1/2 yds per play) Vidors jv (white helmets) played half of the reps.. Its a scrimmage. Both teams will be fine.

With these two teams being so much alike, it was more like another practice, nothing really new, just different bodies to block and tackle.

We did not pass block well last year and it cost us. (IMO) Iam not saying we throw 20 a game but if we throw 10 times we need to atleast complete 6 of those.
TITAN POWER Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 We have work to do. But from looking at all the results on these boards everybody has things they need to work on before the season gets rolling. We will see were the pirates are this year after the next few weeks. We defiantly dont have a cake walk preseason this year and time will tell. Good luck to all and play with everything you have. :)
Bobcat55 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Piratedad1977 if it is just a scrimmage than why do you have stats?
