The Silsbee game shouldn't have anything to do with it? WOS went to the final 4 (semi's) last year and will probably do the same again if not win it. The 2nd playoff game with Giddings will be a war though.

I agree. I don't know if any of you guys have seen Giddings play, but I have..they have some super athletes. I think WO-S takes them this year though.

If they get past Giddings (Round 2) they go to at least round 5 (Semi Finals)

I originally thought Giddings might be the team to beat in Div-2, however last week Giddings barely beat LaGrange.

Just FYI, if you want the rel scoop on Giddings talk to EAGLETOWN as his nephew is the star QB.

I think they go at least as far as last year. Giddigs is not the team to worry about, that would be Wimberly. That's who they will probably play in a semi-final game. WOS handled Giddings last yearm handily, as Giddiing s couldn't deal with the speed of WOS's offense. I think if WOS would get another shot at Wimberly and win, that would be a major mental hurdle to clear. I think then they would play Cureo in the D-2 title game.

Cuero is a tough team and VERY WELL coached. Giddings has a QB that is VERY fast and there is not a WOS player that could catch him if he gets in the open field. Having said that, Giddings would have to be more balanced to have a chance against WOS.

If WOS gets past Giddings, which I think they will, I don't see anyone in Region III beating them. Giddings is too one dimensional. I see WOS probably playing Cuero in the semis or maybe Wimberly. WOS has just as good a chance at winning the whole thing as anyone else in the state. I would love to see them take on Gilmer, but it doesn't look like that will happen. I will say this, WOS goes farther than anyone else in Southeast Texas.

If they don't win the state championship in DII then heads should roll. That might be a little drastic. How about.........if they don't win the state championship then every first born child in the district should be........no, thats been done. OK, if they don't win the state championship every WOS poster should be banned from the SETXsports web site. Yeah, that will work.

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
