HF defeated Kelly and Central.

Lumberton defeated Orangefield and Silsbee and someone else I think.

Was this bracket play or pool play?

If it was bracket play, how can Orangefield and Silsbee play in the 3rd place game if they both lost to Lumberton and Lumberton played in the championship game?

I am confused. I was told that Silsbee won the championship of the Silver Bracket.

There were 12 teams in the tournament. 8 teams in the top of the bracket and 4 teams in the bottom.  HF was in the bottom bracket and had to beat Kelly and Central to get into the finals.  Lumberton was in the top braket and had to beat three teams to get into the finals.  Two of the three teams were Silsbee and OF.  Lumberton had to play Silsbee at 9:00 this morning and then played HF in the Finals at 2:00.  Silsbee and OF played for const.

Yea, I was just looking at a bracket of the tournament and saw that was possible

The HF tournament had  Gold, Silver and bronze brackets.  Depending on when you won and when you lost determined which bracket you ended up in.  The Silsbee/Orangefield game was the Championship game of the Silver bracket, but could also be considered the Third place game.

Brenham is having a good season...  They are 12-1, with their lone loss coming to #3 team in 5A, Austin Westlake.

You do know that you dont count pool play on your overall record:)

Pool play games count if you are allowed to play 2 out of 3 games.  If they are limited to 2 games they don't count toward your record.  Most of your bigger tournaments will give the 3rd game option so they can count.
